These are just some of a few examples of quotes you may have heard in the past regarding charity and giving to others.
Before we go any further I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Kunal and I'm the owner of Truly Exquisite. When it comes to writing blog posts I'll admit that it's not my strong suit so this will just be me speaking from my heart.
So why is a brand that creates luxury bespoke gifts and technology writing a blog post about helping others? What does selling upmarket items such as 24k Gold iPhones, Swarovski Apple watches and Platinum iPads have to do with donating to charity? Well to put it plain and simply, it has everything to do with charity!
Truly Exquisite is a luxury brand that is for everyone. From creating exclusive and unique luxury products for our customers to providing to those around the world that need our help the most. Our company ethos is to try and help as many people as we can. That is one of the main reasons why I created this company.
For those of you that don't know me I would say that I'm the type of person that does try to help others as much as I can. There's no better feeling than knowing that you've just helped someone, especially those who need help the most. Every morning and evening when I pray, I am always thankful for being in the position I am in and what I've been blessed with and given as there are so many people in this world who would give anything just to have some food or water let alone anything else. We can say as many prayers as we want but there's only so many that will be answered. So saying that i guess it's down to us to help as much as we can.
Truly Exquisite will be donating 5% of revenue of our sales on the majority of our items to a select few charities. The charities that we will be donating to are WWF (World Wild Fund For Nature), ROWW (Reach Out Worldwide), UNICEF, Oxfam and Make A Wish Foundation.
If you don't know much about these charities please read below for more of an insight into them and what they do.
WWF (World Wide Fund For Nature)
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is an international non-governmental organization founded on April 29, 1961, and is working on issues regarding the conservation, research and restoration of the environment.
The group's mission is "to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature."
Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW)
ROWW is a network of committed professionals with first responder skill-set. The charity was founded by the late actor, Paul Walker, star of the Fast & Furious Franchise.
ROWW was founded after the devastating Haiti earthquakes in 2010 where Paul was part of a relief team.The volunteers provide their expertise when disasters strike and augment local resources with the goal of accelerating relief efforts on a worldwide basis.
UNICEF
UNICEF is the leading humanitarian and development agency globally for the rights of every child. Child rights begin with safe shelter, nutrition, protection from disaster and conflict and traverse the life cycle.
UNICEF has spent over 60 years working to improve the lives of children and their families.
OXFAM
Oxfam is an international confederation of 17 organisations working in approximately 94 countries worldwide to find solutions to poverty and what it considers injustice around the world.
In all Oxfam's actions, the ultimate goal is to enable people to exercise their rights and manage their own lives.
Make A Wish Foundation
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in the United States that arranges experiences (described as "wishes") to children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Thanks to the generosity of thousands of donors and volunteers, Make-A-Wish has granted over 334,000 wishes worldwide to some very deserving children. A wish allows a seriously ill child and their family to spend precious time together, creating memories to treasure forever – whatever the future may hold.
Donating to these charities is something that means a great deal to me and makes me proud that i'm doing something to help others.
